Welcome to my grey series at virginiaz.net. These works explore the crossroads between the unconscious, dreams and memories. The pervasive theme is exploring intimate and personal spaces in an extremely public arena The subway is used as a metaphor for the unconscious. It is a collection station for the memories and dreams which fuel the body of work. It is intended to be a journey whose destination is personal and unknown. The works are purposefully ambiguous, lacking street signs or marks of identification. The scenes belong to the viewer and artist simultaneously. Only “The Descent” and “The Ascent” are stationary, the order of the journey is designed by the viewer. Please enter the series and design your own metaphor and meaning.
